What's the difference between a Psychologist and a Psychiatrist?

Why Choose Adult Therapy?

Life as an adult can be complex, filled with responsibilities, relationships, and personal struggles. It's common to feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck at times. Our Adult Therapy program is tailored to address a wide range of concerns that adults commonly face, including:

  • Stress Management: Learn effective techniques to manage stress, build resilience, and regain a sense of balance in your life.
  • Anxiety and Depression: Our therapists provide evidence-based interventions to help you manage anxiety and depression, enabling you to experience greater emotional well-being.
  • Relationship Challenges: Whether you're struggling with communication issues, conflicts, or intimacy concerns, our therapy can help you navigate and improve your relationships.
  • Life Transitions: From career changes to parenthood and beyond, our therapists can assist you in adapting to life's transitions with grace and resilience.
  • Trauma Healing: If you're carrying the weight of past traumatic experiences, our trauma-informed therapists can guide you toward healing and reclaiming your sense of safety.
  • Self-Esteem and Self-Care: Develop a stronger sense of self-worth, practice self-compassion, and prioritize self-care to enhance your overall well-being.

Our Approach to Adult Therapy

At Clarity Clinic, we believe in a holistic and client-centered approach to therapy. We recognize that each individual is unique, and their experiences and needs are different. Our therapists work collaboratively with you to create a customized treatment plan that aligns with your goals and aspirations.

Evidence-Based Techniques

Our therapists are trained in a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and more. These approaches have been proven effective in helping clients manage their symptoms and develop healthy coping strategies.

Emphasis on Strengths

We focus on your strengths and resilience, helping you harness your inner resources to overcome challenges and create positive change.

Safe and Supportive Environment

Our therapy sessions provide a confidential and non-judgmental space where you can openly discuss your thoughts, feelings, and concerns.

Through therapy, you'll acquire practical skills and tools that you can apply in your daily life to enhance your emotional well-being and overall satisfaction.

Long-Term Growth

Our aim is not just symptom relief, but long-term personal growth. We empower you to build a strong foundation for your mental health and continue to thrive beyond the therapy room.

Common Treatment Areas

Anger Management

Our anger management therapy services focus on healthy and effective methods of self-expression. We work with our clients to better understand the root causes of their anger and help them through the self-exploration process. We also strive to help facilitate the practice of effective communication skills and apply various techniques such as CBT, and DBT, to help regulate and manage strong emotions.

Substance and Behavioral Addiction

A holistic treatment approach is utilized at Clarity Clinic as our clinical staff recognizes that individuals will have needs in relation to their addiction that is physical, social, or perhaps spiritual. We aim to treat the whole individual, rather than just symptoms. An emphasis is placed on the client as an individual to grow and build the skills needed to manage their addiction.

Anxiety

Anxiety disorders are typically identified as pervasive patterns of extensive worry, fear, or dread about everyday situations that can affect or disrupt daily life. While it is typical for individuals – adults and children – to experience occasional stress or worry, anxiety disorders include intense episodes that are difficult to manage.

Depression

Depression is a common condition characterized by persistent feelings of intense sadness and/or emptiness; it is more than just feeling sad within reason. Nearly one in five American adults experience these feelings at some point in their life. Depression has several effective treatment pathways that can lead to recovery.

Family Therapy

Family problems can manifest in the healthiest of families, resulting in challenging interactions that can lead to buried resentments, arguments, and feelings of guilt, anger, and disappointment.

Whether your family needs counseling on specific issues or guidance in navigating through family dynamics and relationships, family therapy can help. It has been shown that at times an individual’s psychological well-being can be affected by conflict within the family system. Incorporating the family into counseling sessions can not only help at an individual level but also provide support for the family as a whole.

At Clarity Clinic we are committed to strengthening and healing families from all walks of life. Through counseling and psychotherapy, we provide support in areas such as:

Family therapy can help build and maintain healthy boundaries, create cohesion, and open the doors to better communication. Clarity Clinic therapy staff can help your family move past concerns in a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment. We will guide the journey as your family works towards empathy, understanding, and decreased conflict.

Additionally, an individual’s psychological well-being and stressors can often be best understood when including their family in their counseling journey.

Couples Therapy and Marriage Counseling

Several factors, both internal and external to the relationship, may contribute to difficulties and stress between people in romantic relationships. Becoming new parents, infidelity, differences in communication, sexual dissatisfaction, and financial troubles are common triggers of a shift or tension between partners. Sometimes, untreated individual disorders such as anxiety, anger management, or depression can cause or increase stress and strain on a relationship.

By applying goal-oriented efforts our couples counselors + marriage counselors assist clients as they work together in couples therapy to identify and resolve the conflicting behaviors and patterns that are preventing the relationship from progressing. Our counselors help couples build healthy relationships based on respect, support, and trust. We help clients as they work together to address and resolve conflicts within their relationships.
