After graduating with my Bachelor’s in Applied Life Studies -Health Education, I received my Master of Social Work in 2003. I have worked in agency settings, home health, university support for students, chemical dependency centers, and my own practice.
During my 20+ years of practice, I have gained expertise in many areas. I support adults with chronic illness/genetic conditions and the anxiety/depression cycle associated with pain/discomfort. I assist families with children with developmental or genetic conditions. I treat individuals working on self-improvement around issues of anxiety, depression, work/life balance, life cycle changes, ADHD, family of origin issues, evolving family life, and self-care. I use an eclectic approach to therapy utilizing psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness, and family systems
