As a counselor, I am privileged to accompany my clients on their journey towards healing and self-discovery. I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can freely explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. My practice is founded on empathy, authenticity, and collaboration, tailoring treatment to each client's unique needs and goals. I am committed to supporting you as you navigate life's challenges, cultivate self-awareness, and empower positive change. My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in political science and sociology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, learning about historic and present-day impacts of macro and micro-level discrimination. I also hold a Master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from Eastern Illinois University, where I discovered my passion for working with adolescents and adults healing from trauma. My practice encompasses individual and group therapy, as well as LGBTQ+ and cross-cultural counseling. I specialize in treating conditions such as trauma, depression, anxiety, and anger management. My primary treatment approaches are Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), supplemented by expressive arts, internal family systems, motivational interviewing, and play therapy. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy creative pursuits like art, crafting, and DIY projects. I also appreciate relaxing with my cats while playing The Sims or watching True Crime documentaries. You may spot me exploring local farmer's markets or shopping for plants in my free time.
