I believe therapy is a collaborative journey, built on a strong partnership between the client and the therapist. My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and judgment-free space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered to work toward growth and healing. Taking the first step toward therapy is a courageous act, and I want to honor the strength it took for you to get here. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or your child, I am here to offer care, understanding, and guidance every step of the way. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Gender & Women’s Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and my master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago. During graduate school, I interned at Rush University Medical Center in the Women and Children’s Unit, where I provided emotional support, counseling, and crisis intervention to patients and their families navigating medical challenges, childbirth, postpartum concerns, and pediatric illnesses.
This experience helped me refine my clinical skills and develop a deeper understanding of the interplay between medical and psychosocial factors in family care. I take a client-centered and systems-oriented approach to therapy, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs while considering the broader contexts that shape your experiences.
My treatment methods include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Play Therapy when working with children. While I enjoy working with individuals of all ages, my experience has been particularly focused on children and adolescents.
I understand that growing up comes with unique challenges, and I am passionate about amplifying the voices of young people, which are often overlooked. My goal is to provide a supportive space where they feel seen, respected, and empowered as they navigate the complexities of life. No matter where you are on your journey, I am here to provide a safe, compassionate, and collaborative environment where you can take meaningful steps toward the life you envision for yourself.
