In our fast-paced, demanding, minimal forgiveness society, feelings of emptiness, loneliness, worthlessness, sadness, and irritability are much more common than you may realize. These moods can be isolating, confusing, and frustrating and you may find it more and more challenging to function in your day-to-day activities and tasks. I often hear individuals express sadness over their strong ability to access their negative emotions but their inability to “live in the moment” and identify their positive emotions. If any of these fit your current mindset, I want to commend you for taking the steps toward bettering your mental health as sometimes the hardest part is asking for help.
