Bio

Hi, I am Sherita Hernton. I am a licensed physician assistant. More specifically, I am someone who sparks change in people’s lives. I am dedicated to supporting my patients/clients by providing up-to-date, evidence-based medical practice, including incorporating holistic approaches. I value building rapport with my patients and supporting patients in finding a provider that is a good fit for them based on their individual treatment needs and goals. I have experience with individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and belief systems.

My passion for mental health began when I was younger, it was a taboo topic for those around me, which made me want to explore it more. As I grew older, my love for it grew with me. I recognize that seeking help can be difficult, so I will always offer my patients a judgment-free environment with the ability to express themselves. I am committed to providing all patients with the best mental health care possible.

I obtained my Master of Science in physician assistant studies at Christian Brothers University and received my Bachelor of Science in biology pre-medicine at Alcorn State University. I currently hold certifications in basic life support, advanced cardiovascular life support, and pediatric advanced life support. I am registered with The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
