Helping others tackle difficulties and challenges in their lives is my passion. We all have struggles to work through, and those struggles can manifest themselves in many ways and at any time during our lives. I work with clients using an individualistic approach to help each overcome their personal or relational struggles and consciously create a happier, healthier version of themselves. I understand that each client has unique experiences and challenges. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where clients are free to openly discuss challenges, hardships, and any adverse issues they are facing. My care tactic is client-centered, tailoring case management to individual needs and desired outcomes. I use a strengths-based, solution-focused approach in my line of work. This means I help clients find positive attributes and abilities they already have and help them overcome their obstacles using those same strengths and capabilities. Empowering clients to regain control of their mental and emotional health through changing the way they perceive, and experience hardships continues to be the most rewarding aspect of my work. Under my guidance, patients will learn the skills and tools necessary to find and challenge negative, self-destructive thoughts and achieve improved mental wellness. I am a state-licensed and nationally board-certified Physician Assistant. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Wittenberg University with a minor in Health Sciences. I then went on to complete my Physician Assistant studies at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences where I gained valuable experience diagnosing and treating psychiatric conditions in patients of all ages, cultures, religious and socio-economic backgrounds. My specialties include but are not limited to: Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Mood Disorders, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, ADHD/ADD, Obsessive-compulsive Disorder, Specific Phobias, Adjustment Disorder, and Stress/Worry.
