Bio

I keep my approach to Medicine thorough, yet uncomplicated; establish a partnership of mutual respect in a welcoming environment where patients receive individualized and evidence-based care in a way that makes them feel comfortable. Every provider has been or will be a patient at some point in their lifetime; keeping this in mind has allowed me to maintain a solid foundation of empathy and connection to my patients for over a decade. I take a holistic approach to mental healthcare believing that improving how people feel will in turn improve overall quality of life. Years of clinical practice as a Physician Assistant and Registered Dietitian in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Gastroenterology, and Oncology, has allowed me to see the ways that a variety of factors (like swallowing, stomach function, diet, etc.) relate to the mind. My academic background includes a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA where my rotations included Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Gastroenterology and Surgery. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in Nutrition from Columbia University in the City of New York. As a Registered Dietitian I completed my clinical internship at The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. My free time typically includes cooking, playing tennis, dog rescue/volunteering, checking out new restaurants, going to concerts and traveling. After living on the East Coast, I am lucky to call the city of Chicago home. Working at Clarity Clinic allows me to provide a safe space that cultivates trust and non – judgmental sharing so that patients can get the help that they deserve.
