I completed my Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Case Western Reserve University after earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The Ohio State University. My clinical training included rotations in Behavioral Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital, Inpatient Psychiatry at the Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Addiction Medicine at Stella Maris, where I gained experience in medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and withdrawal management. Before PA school, I worked as a Mental Health Specialist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, providing trauma-informed care and crisis support to patients and families. I enjoy working with people across the lifespan navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and substance use concerns. My approach combines medication management and psychotherapy with genuine listening, collaboration, and motivational support. I’m a general psychiatrist dedicated to helping individuals achieve lasting mental wellness through evidence-based care and a collaborative, personalized approach. My training at Baylor College of Medicine provided a strong foundation in both medication management and psychotherapy, including psychodynamic, supportive, and cognitive behavioral therapy—all of which I thoughtfully integrate into my clinical practice. My experience across a wide range of clinical settings, from renowned psychiatric hospitals to community-based programs, has allowed me to care for individuals from all walks of life. These opportunities have deepened my commitment to treating mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, and ADHD, and to helping patients with complex or treatment-resistant conditions. I also lead Clarity Clinic’s Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) program, providing care for individuals whose mood symptoms have not improved with traditional treatment approaches. At the heart of my practice is the belief that meaningful healing begins with a strong, trusting relationship. I take time to understand each patient’s unique story and enjoy helping professionals navigate life transitions and stressors—whether personal or career-related. Before specializing in psychiatry, I worked in hospital medicine and later in primary care at a Federally Qualified Health Center. I cared for patients with complex medical conditions and many who were also managing anxiety, depression, trauma, or other mental health concerns. These experiences strengthened my ability to approach patient care holistically and to support individuals navigating both physical and mental health challenges. My style is straightforward and collaborative. I’m here to help you understand your symptoms, explore what’s working and what’s not, and create a treatment plan that fits your life. I use evidence-based approaches, including medication management, lifestyle guidance, and education, always tailored to your individual needs. Dr. Elzokaky is a psychiatrist who is passionate about helping people improve their mental health and overall well-being. With a background rooted in both American and Egyptian culture, he values diversity and brings a unique perspective to patient care. He has a special interest in interventional psychiatry, including ketamine and esketamine therapy, and also offers faith-based counseling for those who wish to incorporate their beliefs into the healing process. His philosophy of care is centered on respect, collaboration, and empowerment—working alongside each patient to create personalized treatment plans that honor their values, goals, and life experiences. Outside of work, he enjoys playing soccer and racquetball, studying and competing in chess, exploring recreational mathematics, and reading philosophy.

As a physician, I believe in treating the whole patient. I strive to provide comprehensive care to address the psychiatric needs of my patients. With my clinical knowledge in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy, I work collaboratively with patients to create and implement a treatment plan that speaks to their individual needs. I completed my general adult psychiatric residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals. During residency, I served as chief resident at The Center for Psychotherapies at St. Joseph’s Hospital. I graduated medical school from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. I treat adult patients ages 18 to 65 years old. I treat a range of psychiatric disorders in the adult population including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, postpartum and perinatal depression, student mental health, and post-traumatic stress disorder. I especially enjoy working with patients from diverse backgrounds. During the first appointment I focus on understanding the narrative of my patients, providing evidence based psychiatric care, educating my patients, and fostering a therapeutic relationship built on trust.
