I believe the ability of a client to make lasting changes in their life depends in part on the value of the therapeutic relationship. That is why I am honored as you share with me in the therapy session. I hope from the moment I meet you I can help you understand the counseling process by providing a safe and non-judgmental place to verbalize your concerns. I also would like to help you bring insight to your thoughts, beliefs, and emotions that you might be unaware of. So in turn as you bring more self awareness to yourself you feel the connection we have developed and feel empowered by the work completed in therapy. This is my second career, as my first career was as a professional flute player in orchestras and flute instructor to all ages. I decided to make a career change to become a professional counselor because of my empathic nature, ability to communicate in a warm and inviting way and comfortability with mental health. I received my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University. I practice from a person-centered therapeutic lens and utilize Psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, Gottman Method for couples and Exposure Response Prevention therapy. I offer individual and couples counseling for adults.
