Kate Kendall, LSW, is a person-centered clinician who serves as a Program Therapist for PHP/IOP levels of care. She is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported without fear of judgment. Kate believes in meeting each individual where they are and walking alongside them with empathy, curiosity, and compassion.
Kate earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Northeastern Illinois University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago, with a specialization in School Social Work and a Professional Educator License (PEL). Her professional experience spans a variety of settings, including schools, domestic violence shelters, inpatient hospitalization, and higher levels of care like PHP and IOP. These diverse experiences inform her flexible, client-centered approach.
Kate works with children, teens, and adults using evidence-based modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She is known for her compassionate care, strong interpersonal skills, and her ability to connect through humor and relatable analogies to make therapeutic concepts accessible and meaningful.
Kate acknowledges that the human experience is often messy—and she strives to normalize that in her work. Her goal is to foster a sense of community, provide hope, and support clients in their journey toward meaningful change and growth.
