I’m Clarque Johnson, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a dedicated leader in the mental health field. I received my Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology with a concentration in Child Protection from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
Over the years, I have developed extensive experience in providing individual, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults, specializing in concerns such as anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, disruptive behaviors, school-related issues, attention difficulties, court-ordered treatment, and stress management.
I believe that self-care and setting boundaries are vital, both in therapy and in leadership. I strive to create a culture where both clients and colleagues feel empowered to prioritize their well-being. With a commitment to both clinical excellence and leadership, I strive to create spaces where healing, learning, and growth can flourish. Beyond direct client work, I have also stepped into leadership roles, guiding teams of clinicians, mentoring new professionals, and ensuring high-quality care in program settings.
My leadership is rooted in a passion for fostering growth—not only in my clients but also in the professionals I have the privilege of supporting. Whether working with clients or guiding teams, my goal is to foster resilience, build connections, and support lasting change.
My clinical journey has taken me through community mental health, forensic centers, and crisis stabilization programs, shaping my expertise in evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. Outside of work, I embrace activities that bring me joy, including cooking and baking, traveling, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.
