Bio

We have all faced challenges and experiences that can be overwhelming. Having a safe space and support is beneficial when experiencing different life stressors. My goal is to collaborate with clients to create goals and work toward managing difficult emotions. It is especially important to me to create a non-judgmental space where we can explore thoughts, feelings, and concerns. I also value helping clients feel empowered to make positive changes. I understand that everyone has had different life experiences. Individuals are the experts of their own lives, which is why it is important to me to use client’s strengths and needs, to find the therapeutic approach that is better suited for you. I have received my master’s in social work from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I use various therapeutic modalities such as person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and strength-based approach. I have experience in crisis intervention and community mental health. I have worked with diverse populations from different socio-economic, racial, and cultural backgrounds. I have experience working with clients with various presenting issues such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, post-traumatic stress, and navigating different life transitions. Whether it is your first experience with therapy or not, I recognize it can be difficult to open up to someone new, so I am honored to get the opportunity to work together in creating the space you need.
