We have all faced challenges and experiences that can be overwhelming. Having a safe space and support is beneficial when experiencing different life stressors. My goal is to collaborate with clients to identify goals and work toward managing difficult emotions. It is very important to me to create a non-judgmental space where we can explore thoughts, feelings, and concerns. I also value helping clients feel empowered to make positive change. I understand that everyone has had different life experiences. I believe individuals are the experts of their own lives, which is why it is important to me to utilize client’s strengths and needs, to identify the therapeutic approach that is better suited for you.
I have received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I utilize various therapeutic modalities such as person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and strength-based approach. I have experience in crisis intervention and community mental health. I have worked with diverse populations from different socio-economic, racial, and cultural backgrounds. I have experience working with clients with various presenting issues such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, post-traumatic stress, and navigating different life transitions. Whether it is your first experience with therapy or not, I recognize it can be difficult to open up to someone new, so I am honored to get the opportunity work together in creating the space you need.
