Often, clients will seek therapy services because they are seeking support when experiencing loss, grief, trauma, depression, and struggles with daily life issues on their own. It can be overwhelming to face these challenges alone without the appropriate coping tools and someone to talk to for support. I look forward to helping you obtain the coping skills and insight to get through life’s difficulties. I am committed to helping clients with facing their struggles and providing them with a safe, empathetic, and supportive space. I strongly believe that clients are capable of transforming their lives to improve their quality of life and make positive changes.
I use an integrative approach using modalities such as CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused, and Client-Centered therapies. I am also trained in EMDR and Motivational Interviewing. My interests include working with adults and adolescents with mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, stress/worry, life transitions, grief and loss, sadness, anger management, and other mental health issues. I also have career counseling experience where I collaborated with clients on resumes, cover letters, interviewing, career assessments, identifying values for appropriate occupational fit, and work/life balance.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and received a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University. My clinical internship and professional experiences have been in a variety of settings such as private practice, university, community mental health, and long-term care facilities.
