Bio

My passion for mental health began early in college while working as a crisis hotline call-taker. Listening to so many unique stories showed me the importance of providing compassion, empathy, and non-judgement. I practice medicine around a philosophy called cura personalis, which means to care for the whole person- mind, body and spirit. Many specialties spend time treating symptoms rather than the person, and I believe that psychiatry and behavioral health allow for a beautiful intersection between people and medicine. I am grateful for the opportunity to integrate best-evidence medicine with education, counseling, and collaboration with each patient to provide exceptional holistic care. I am a licensed and nationally board-certified physician assistant specializing in mental health. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Health Management at Saint Louis University and went on to receive my Master of Medical Science (MMS) from Saint Louis University’s Physician Assistant Program. During my medical training, I completed rotations in psychiatry, family medicine, emergency medicine, women’s health, pediatrics, and surgery. Over this time, I had the opportunity to work with patients of a myriad of different backgrounds from underserved rural and urban communities, medication-assisted therapy treatment centers, and homeless shelters.
