Bio

My primary method for helping others is through client-centered therapy, where the most important goal is to walk alongside you, trying to understand the world from your perspective. My approach is non-judgmental and down-to-earth. I connect with others fostering empathy to establish a meaningful and genuine relationships.

People often have mixed feelings and thoughts preventing them from finding solutions to their problems. My role is to assist you with untangling ambivalence and helping you reach your solutions. Because every person is unique, we will work together to construct a treatment plan that includes your goals and subsequent steps needed to resolve or deal with your changing circumstances.

In addition to client-centered approaches, I use evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. I specialize in working with adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, substance use, and addiction. Previous work experience includes outpatient clinics, psychiatric hospitals, community mental health agencies, addiction treatment facilities, jails, and safety-net healthcare systems. I have been a licensed clinical psychologist for over 20 years.
