I have a deep appreciation for the lived experiences of my clients and consider it an honor to help them reach their fullest potential. I strive to create a space that is safe, non-judgmental, empathetic, warm, and affirming for my clients in order to facilitate this process. My hope is that by the end of our work together, my clients have met their goals and have the tools they need when approaching future life stressors.
Helping my clients achieve their personal goals through collaboration is my top priority. I recognize that my clients are experts in their own experiences and bring unique strengths to therapy. I tailor treatment to meet each client’s needs while utilizing trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based techniques, solution-based therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to promote the development of healthy coping skills.
I specialize in work within the LGBTQ+ community, unresolved trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and life transitions. I received my Bachelor of Arts in theology from Lipscomb University, with an emphasis on understanding and treating spiritual abuse. Afterwards, I went on to receive my Master’s of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee with a concentration in evidence-based interpersonal practice and a certificate in trauma treatment. Through serving diverse populations in residential facilities, private practice, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and community mental health agencies, I have had the privilege of witnessing amazing changes in people who once thought it was impossible. Empowering clients to become their best selves continues to be the most fulfilling part of my work.
