A lot of times we find ourselves struggling with anxiety, depression or other painful emotional experiences leading us to lose sense of who we are and what our life was like before we started feeling this way. It’s a challenge many of us face causing us to forget to enjoy the simple things in life, but it does not have to always be this way.
I have always held a genuine interest towards working with and helping others. I’ve come to understand that everyone who walks through my door has their own unique journey, unique obstacles to overcome and therapy is a different experience for everyone. My approach is to work on collaboratively developing goals with my clients to ultimately provide my clients with the support and guidance they need to achieve their goals. I believe that everyone can heal, thrive, and achieve their goals through meaningful therapy and a warm, empowering therapeutic environment.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. I also hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Children Studies from Illinois State University. I have held a variety of roles and experiences in my clinical training and have worked conducting both group and individual therapy in different settings. The modalities that I find helpful in therapy and work on implementing during sessions include CBT, DBT, ACT, narrative and person centered therapy, pulling tools from each to meet the needs of my clients. My extensive training at St. Joseph’s Hospital Intensive Outpatient Program has allowed me to gain expertise in treating individuals with depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorders, borderline personality disorders, and a wide variety of other conditions using evidence-based approaches to provide clients with not only the best experience, but also the best outcome for their unique situation.
