Bio

There’s a lot of interest–pressure, even–around physical health. We want to be healthy and follow our providers instructions regarding our physical health to ensure longevity. We exercise, eat healthy, and maybe even meditate without always realizing the link between mental and physical health. Acknowledging that mental health is a factor in our overall wellness is critical and needed now more than ever as we’re faced with all that’s going on in the world today.

Through my own passions and interests, I have developed a strong understanding of how mental and physical health are connected. That realization triggered an interest in overall wellness, with compassion for how psychological, biological, and social factors all contribute to each person’s overall well-being. Recognizing the importance of our overall health, I strive to defeat the negative stigma surrounding mental health, while helping my patients manage stress, depression, anxiety, eating and sleep disorders, substance abuse and medication misuse. At Clarity Clinic, I will create an atmosphere of respect and confidentiality with my patients, so that we can work together to address their individual concerns and needs through therapies and properly managed medications to make them feel whole.

My education includes a Bachelor of Science in Health Services and a Master of Physician Assistant Science from Gannon University in Erie. In my career to date, I’ve had the opportunity to treat patients both in emergency departments in Columbus, Ohio and outpatient clinics in Chicago. The cases that present themselves in these settings are often side-effects of the need for attention to mental health. In these situations I’ve been committed to addressing those needs and advocating for the patient. These work experiences, combined with clinical and educational training in mental health, have allowed me the opportunity to evaluate and coordinate the mind and body as one. I look forward to continuing to use my education and experience, enforced by my personal commitment to overall wellness, while serving my patients on their journey to overall health.
