Bio

There are times when for various reasons we may feel that our life is turned upside down to the point that we feel we will never be able to get through the situation we are in. My goal is to provide a space of security and acceptance that will help you overcome the challenges you may be facing to achieve your life goals.

I am a licensed professional counselor with a M.A in School Counseling as well as an M.A in Elementary Education. I have worked in an elementary school setting as a school counselor for the last 8 years. During this time I have worked with a diverse student population as well as their families. I currently lead counseling groups and provide individual counseling to children and adolescents struggling with anxiety, anger management, depression, divorce, grief, self-harm, and trauma.

As a counselor I use various techniques that stem from cognitive behavior therapy and person-centered therapy. My goal as a counselor is for individuals to set clear and realistic goals while exploring the root causes of any concerns. During this process I hope to create an environment that will provide individuals with the necessary tools and strategies that will lead them to make positive changes for their long-term well-being.
