Bio

My goal as a therapist is to help my clients understand how their thoughts, feelings and behaviors are all connected. I believe in treating and caring for the whole person. Together, we will explore lifestyle factors that can contribute to emotional wounds and develop strategies to make positive changes. With my empathetic and compassionate approach, I strive to provide a safe, supportive and judgement-free space for my clients to explore their difficulties and develop effective strategies to manage them. I believe in tailoring therapy to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. During our sessions, we will collaboratively work towards developing a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your specific challenges and aspirations. I utilize a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach that is primarily grounded in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness. I will guide you in cultivating mindfulness skills, enabling you to stay present, observe your thoughts and emotions without judgment, and enhance self-awareness.

I graduated with my BA in Psychology from the University of Dayton and with my Masters in Social Work from Aurora University. My experience is in a variety of settings including community mental health, schools, youth services and addictions/rehabilitation services. It takes courage to seek help to confront life’s difficulties and I want to congratulate you on taking the first step. As your therapist I will walk with you along this healing process, providing you with a safe space to be honest, confront your feelings and learn how to cope with them.
