There never seem to be enough hours in the day to do things the “right” way. You want to be ambitious, to chase big dreams — but you also want to live fully in your personal life. Finding that balance can feel elusive. Life starts to feel like one pressure after another, and you end up bending yourself in all directions just to keep up. If that resonates, I want to walk alongside you for a little while.
I work with folx who are driven — people who want to take bold steps toward building a meaningful life but aren't quite sure where to begin. If you're standing at the edge of change, wondering how to take that first step, let’s take it together. My name is Tara, and I’m a licensed clinical social worker with a background in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, mood challenges, and the internal tug-of-war between personal values and external expectations.
I work with people who are tired of living by someone else’s rules and are ready to create a life that’s authentically theirs. To share a bit more about my background: I earned my master’s degree in social work from Loyola University Chicago in 2012. I’ve completed two fellowships at the University of Chicago, where I focused on contextual behavioral therapies — especially Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I’ve had the privilege of working with clients from all over the world, including many who have crossed continents in pursuit of their goals. Some of the most courageous people I know are those who’ve taken risks to build something new.
My approach is centered on you — your values, your vision, your pace. We’ll begin with how you want your life to look and work together to move in that direction, while making space for all the emotions that show up along the way. Starting therapy is a brave and meaningful choice. If you’re ready, I’m here to take that step with you.
