I am a board-certified psychiatrist who specializes in the treatment of adults. After earning my Bachelor’s in Biochemistry from Rice University, I completed my medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. I then completed my residency training at UIC in Chicago, where I focused on the individual treatment of adult patients with mood and anxiety disorders using a comprehensive approach to mental health involving medication and therapy. However, during training, I also gained valuable experience managing a vast array of conditions, including ADHD, substance use disorders, and PTSD, among many others.
My experience working with Chicago’s diverse patient population has allowed me to be more aware of the unique challenges they face. I recognize how difficult it can be to find a new provider in the current healthcare landscape who meets your individual needs. That is why I believes in providing a safe, respectful, and judgment-free environment for all patients, regardless of their background. I embrace a holistic approach to mental health that goes beyond just medication management. I recognize that therapy can be vital for gaining insight into our own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, as well as encouraging positive change. Overall, I am committed to helping my patients achieve optimal quality of life and deal with new challenges along the way.
