I believe that therapy should be a space where you feel supported, heard, and free to be your authentic self. You don’t have to have the right words, have everything figured out, or even know exactly what brought you here. This is a space to show up as your imperfectly perfect, fully human self. Taking the first step can be scary, but you don’t have to navigate your mental health journey alone. I see therapy as a collaborative relationship; where we can be curious about what it is that you are experiencing, laugh when appropriate, sit with the hard stuff, and work towards your goals to create meaningful, lasting change.
My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices, with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology, person-centered therapy, and a strengths-based perspective. I believe that there is value in making space for what is difficult - while drawing attention to your individual strengths, resilience, and positive experiences that already exist in your life. I enjoy exploring creative approaches to therapy including a variety of arts and movement-based interventions. Together, we will create a treatment plan that is uniquely yours; one that reflects what you need, where you are, and where you want to go. I approach each session with compassion, warmth, and care for the whole person and am committed to fostering an environment free of judgment.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School. I have experience working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds from all different walks of life. I have experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, OCD, self-esteem, life transitions, and identity development.
Most importantly, I want you to know that you can come to therapy exactly as you are. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel comfortable to be human, supported in working through what feels difficult, and empowered to grow into who you are and who you want to become. You are welcome here, exactly as you are.
