I am a provider who believes in treating the whole person — mind and body — while creating a collaborative space where patients are actively involved in their care. Mental health is a complex journey, and no two journeys look the same. I value individualization of each treatment plan, emphasizing realistic and attainable goals for my patients every step of the way.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Physiology from Michigan State University, graduating with distinction, along with a minor in Health Promotion. I then completed my Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois.
Before specializing in psychiatry, I worked as both a nursing assistant and medical assistant, where I cared for patients across many stages of life, including adolescents, older adults, and individuals from underserved communities. These experiences taught me to meet people where they are and honor their unique experiences, perspectives, and readiness for change.
I have gained experience in psychiatry providing medication management, brief psychotherapy, and alternative treatments such as Spravato and TMS. I treat a variety of mental health disorders, including but not limited to mood, anxiety, developmental, and personality disorders. I have special interests in borderline personality disorder and women’s mental health. I also help patients navigate complex emotional experiences, chronic stress, and co-occurring medical concerns.
I am LGBTQ+-affirming and committed to providing inclusive care for all patients.
My approach to care is simple: you are more than a diagnosis. I work with patients to destigmatize and reframe negative perceptions surrounding different mental health disorders. Above all, I aim to provide a safe space for patients navigating complex emotions and challenges, offering support and guidance every step of the way.
