Therapy does not have to be about immediately fixing or changing difficult feelings. Sometimes it begins with having a place to slow down, make sense of what you are experiencing, and feel genuinely heard. Together, we can explore patterns, build greater self-awareness, and find ways of moving forward that feel authentic to you. Whatever brings you to therapy, you do not have to figure it all out alone.
I work with young adults, adults, and teens navigating anxiety, life transitions, identity, and family and relationship concerns -- including the deeper questions that can come with figuring out who you are and what matters to you. I particularly value creating space for conversations about culture, acculturation, identity, and faith, especially when clients are navigating differing expectations and values across the important relationships in their lives.
My approach is primarily person-centered, with a strong focus on the therapeutic relationship and a genuine commitment to collaborative work. I am also drawn to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which helps clients make room for difficult thoughts and emotions while continuing to move toward what matters most to them. I incorporate a family systems perspective as well, recognizing that relationships, family dynamics, attachment, and communication patterns shape how we understand ourselves and navigate our lives.
Therapy starts with feeling safe, understood, and accepted. My goal is to create a space where you can be honest about what you are experiencing without fear of judgment -- and where we can work together to better understand what may be getting in the way of the life you want.
