Walking alongside individuals and families as they navigate challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful change is at the heart of my clinical work. The therapeutic environment I strive for is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, and designed so clients feel safe, heard, and empowered. Seeking support takes courage, and it is considered a genuine honor to be part of each client's therapeutic journey.
Clinically, I support individuals including children, adolescents, and adults, as well as families navigating anxiety, life transitions, family conflict, relationship challenges, co-parenting difficulties, and adjustment concerns. With children and adolescents, play-based and creative interventions are central, while my work with parents and caregivers focuses on strengthening communication and family relationships.
The therapeutic approach I utilize is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and a strengths-based perspective, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-informed care, play therapy techniques, and family systems frameworks. Therapy is tailored to each client's unique needs, with collaborative goal-setting and attention to how past experiences and relationships shape present challenges.
My education and clinical training, culminating in earning my Master of Social Work degree from Loyola University Chicago, provided experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families across both legal and therapeutic settings. Areas of focus included family systems work, reunification therapy, co-parenting counseling, supervised visitation, and individual therapy across the lifespan.
Beyond direct clinical work, my service on the Professional Advisory Board for Willow House reflects a commitment to grief support for children, families, and communities. Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, crossword puzzles, exploring Chicago, spending time with my cat named Winnie, and finding creative ways to weave connection and play into everyday life.
