We exist in relation, in our interaction with the world and the people around us. In the therapy space, more than any given technique or modality, it is the relationship that serves as the canvas for growth and healing. The privilege I am granted as a therapist is the ability to hold a safe space for clients, allowing them to feel safe and seen as they explore their rawest vulnerabilities, acknowledge and heal their deepest wounds, and discover strengths they didn't know they had.
As a relational, humanistic, and psychodynamic therapist, therapy with me tends to focus on understanding and managing relationships with yourself, others, and the world. I understand these relationships as both shaped by early experiences, and also as ever-changing by way of both environmental factors and one's choices.
I have experience working with clients of all ages, through issues inherent to living with ADHD and other learning and executive functioning disorders. I also appreciate working with young adults and adolescents as they navigate through the waters of identity development, deciding who they want to be and how they want to move through the world. I love working with any individual who has been brave enough to seek out therapy, but I am especially passionate about working with adults who have experienced childhood and relational trauma. These experiences can shape how one approaches relationships going forward, and learning what that means for each individual and how to manage it is not a simple task.
