As a physician assistant practicing in the field of psychiatry, it is important to listen to my patients in order to help them alleviate symptoms that impede daily functioning. Through psychiatric treatment and medication management, I work with my patients to develop a treatment plan that will allow them to get through difficult times and succeed in the future.
I believe one of the most fulfilling aspects of working in the mental health field is being able to provide support to others during the most challenging moments in their life. It is crucial to create a comfortable atmosphere that allows my patients a safe space to openly communicate their thoughts. After having a thorough discussion regarding symptoms and treatment goals, I hope to improve my patients’ overall self-esteem, mood, and future outlook on their life. Treatment consists of using a holistic approach along with medication management, therapy, and lifestyle changes.
I received my Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Midwestern University. During the program training, I completed various medical rotations including psychiatry. My areas of interest include Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, ADHD, Personality Disorders, PTSD, OCD, Insomnia, and Eating Disorders.
