My practice incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy alongside a strength-based approach, since recognizing and building on clients' strengths during vulnerable moments is essential. Depending on individual needs, the work may also draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and exposure therapy, always within culturally aware and sex- and gender-affirming care.
My experience spans intensive inpatient and outpatient settings, private practice, and schools, with clients across all age groups. Areas of focus include Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, excoriation disorder (skin picking), conduct disorders, behavioral concerns, and substance use.
I am a licensed social worker dedicated to meeting clients where they are and committed to providing a safe space. Originally from the Chicagoland area, I also lived in Wisconsin, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, before returning to Chicago to complete my Master of Social Work at Loyola University Chicago.
As an active, adventurous person, I bring that same energy into my care, which is one of the best ways to learn and challenge yourself while enjoying the process.
