My name is Ammara Raziuddin, D.O., and I am originally from the Chicagoland area. I come from a family that is deeply immersed in the mental health field and having access to those resources very much improved my overall wellbeing. I want to be able to help others by providing medication management, supportive psychotherapy, engaging in collaborative care with their providers, and their support systems.
I graduated from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science. I went onto graduate with my medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences, in Kansas City, Missouri. I completed my Psychiatry Residency at Unity Health-White County Medical Center in Searcy, Arkansas. I furthered my education by completing a Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship through Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon.
After completing training, I have worked in a variety of settings such as correctional facilities, inpatient hospitals, along with private practice. While I am especially drawn to working with acute presentations such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders, I also value the opportunity to treat a broad spectrum of psychiatric diagnoses. I believe that diversity in clinical experience is essential to becoming a well-rounded and adaptable psychiatrist.
