“Your life is your story, write well, edit often” When life seems out of control, opening up can feel scary. Seeking help is a difficult task, but one that allows you to grow, regain your choice, and your freedom. As a therapist, I will approach your story with compassion, meeting you where you are to help you take ownership of your story.
I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, identity, and life transitions. I also have a strong interest in supporting individuals as they explore their relationship with substances. My clinical experience includes a variety of settings, such as, inpatient, non-profit community mental health, and outpatient substance use treatment.
Providing trauma-informed care and practicing rooted in talk therapy that helps you understand how you fit into the world. My goal is to support you in exploring who you are, what you value most, and how you want to live your life. Life loves to throw us curveballs which can often disrupt our thoughts, actions, feelings, and our sense of stability. Helping you get back to being you through collaboration, exploration, empathy, and insight is integral in our work together. Being able to gain perspective and challenge yourself to take concrete steps towards change is a key component to my approach.
Beginning therapy, whether it is your first time or tenth time, is a courageous step and I look forward to meeting you where you are and walking alongside you to reach your goals.
