Bio

I believe that all human beings have inherent worth, purpose, and unique contributions to provide for their communities, but I also understand that oftentimes support is needed to allow these personal attributes to flourish. I seek to partner your capacity and strength with my abilities to instill hope through the use of evidence-based interventions. I believe this partnership and relationship will allow you to find success in your therapeutic goals.

I use an eclectic approach that is strength-based and integrates cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, art, and mindfulness-based modalities. I also emphasize the integration of body, mind, and spirit to care for the whole person. I am ever cognizant to approach all of my clients with an awareness of the intersectionality of race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and varying abilities to tailor my approach to each individual’s unique needs.

I possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a Mental Health Specialization. I am a licensed social worker and I am a certified alcohol and drug counselor. Additionally, I am certified through the Child Trauma Academy in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics. I have experience working with individuals and groups of all ages at the inpatient, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care. I also have a deep passion for working with teens and young adults and believe in providing care that recognizes the unique triumphs and challenges of those stages of life.
