Bio

Would you like to feel more self-assured and empowered? Would you like to better advocate for yourself in your personal and professional relationships? Would you like to feel more in control over the direction of your life? My specialty is working with those who struggle with depression/anxiety, self-esteem, relationship issues, and disordered eating/body image. I am passionate about helping people build on their strengths, achieve balance in their lives, and attain the personal growth and change they desire. My goal is to help my clients develop greater self-understanding, greater self-compassion and more meaningful supportive relationships. I work with individuals helping them find their inner voice and strength, and helping them build their self-confidence and self-esteem.

I believe that therapy is a safe environment for clients to increase awareness of patterns and effectively make changes in their lives. I provide a space for individuals to feel comfortable in sharing their thoughts and feelings in order to promote self-awareness. I work with individuals to develop goals that correlate with one’s values. I am passionate about empowering and supporting others while assisting them with navigating through life’s stressors. I utilize empathy and compassion to support and empower individuals to work towards better quality of life, while also incorporating a directive approach to therapeutically challenge clients.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, and graduated from Roosevelt University with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. I have gained my clinical experience from working with individuals and families in many levels of care including: inpatient, partial hospitalization programs, private practice setting, and community mental health. My therapeutic approach is integrative and utilizes a variety of interventions including CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Informed care.
