Our Arlington Heights Clarity Clinic location offers both Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Programs. These therapeutic programs are crafted to offer group-based treatment options for individuals contending with acute psychiatric symptoms or grappling with mental health disorders.
Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides more intensive treatment than our IOP. Participants attend group treatment sessions for four hours a day, five days a week, allowing participants to return home or to a supportive environment outside of treatment hours. PHP offers a higher level of support and structure than IOP. In addition to the mandatory 20 hours of weekly group sessions, participants in the PHP program must allocate extra time for individual therapy, treatment planning sessions, family/support persons therapy as advised, and psychiatric monitoring.
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (PHP) involves participants attending group treatment sessions for three hours a day, three to five days a week depending on the participant's assessed needs. Participants can return home or to a supportive environment outside of treatment hours. In addition to the required 9-15 hours per week of group sessions, the IOP program necessitates allocating extra time for individual therapy and optional medication management.

Our Clarity Clinic Arlington Heights PHP and IOP Programs strive to stabilize individuals requiring extra mental health support by delivering comprehensive psychiatric and therapeutic care. We focus on teaching coping skills and recurrence management strategies, supporting individuals throughout their wellness journey. These programs provide an alternative to inpatient hospitalization, serving as a step-up for those needing more support without requiring the intensity of an acute care setting. They also serve as a step-down from acute care, enabling individuals to receive necessary support while staying connected to their communities and support networks.
Our Arlington Heights Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides a more comprehensive level of care compared to our IOP Program. Our PHP Program takes place from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, 20 hours per week. Based on individual circumstances, it's often advisable for individuals to consider taking a break from school and/or work to prioritize their mental health treatment. Our patients engage daily in a combination of group and individual therapy sessions facilitated by our licensed therapists.
In addition to the 20-hours a week of group work that this program requires, PHP will also require participants to set aside additional time for individual therapy, treatment planning sessions, family/support persons therapy as recommended, and psychiatric monitoring.
On your first day, you'll meet your treatment team, get acquainted with the program, and learn about the treatment process. You'll also participate in group sessions and receive details about the program structure, weekly schedules, and upcoming group activities. Please note that grab-and-go meals will be available for you to enjoy during group sessions.
The duration of PHP treatment varies based on individual progress. Typically, the aim is to transition to IOP, which is considered a less intensive level of behavioral health care.
Our Arlington Heights Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides invaluable support for individuals navigating mental health challenges. PHP offers a structured and nurturing environment where patients can engage in intensive therapy and treatment while maintaining connections to their daily lives. With PHP, individuals receive personalized care tailored to their unique needs, including group therapy, individual counseling, optional medication management, and skill-building exercises.
This program surpasses conventional outpatient therapy by providing a heightened level of support, enabling patients to tackle their mental health issues within a therapeutic setting while returning home daily. PHP plays a crucial role in the recovery process, empowering individuals to cultivate coping mechanisms, enhance resilience, and lay a strong foundation for sustained mental well-being.

Clarity Clinic's Arlington Heights Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers a short term treatment approach with sessions lasting three hours per day from 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm, three to five days per week depending on the participant's assessed needs. Patients can prioritize their mental health while still managing work, school, and daily responsibilities at home.
In addition to the structured 9-15 hours a week of group work that this program requires, IOP will also require participants to set aside additional time for individual therapy, treatment planning sessions, family/support persons therapy as recommended, and psychiatric monitoring.

Our Arlington Heights Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers numerous advantages for individuals seeking mental health support. In IOP, patients can maintain their everyday schedules, balancing work, school, and family responsibilities while benefiting from comprehensive therapeutic care. The structured sessions of IOP foster a supportive atmosphere for addressing mental health concerns, integrating individual therapy, group therapy, and skill-building activities.
This program empowers individuals with coping mechanisms, enriches their support network through group engagement, and fosters a sense of belonging. Additionally, IOP serves as a crucial phase in the recovery process, bridging the gap between intensive treatment settings and independent living, while providing continuous support and strategies for relapse prevention.

At Clarity Clinic, we understand that each individual's journey and mental health objectives are unique. Our dedicated team is committed to assisting you in selecting the treatment program that aligns best with your specific needs.
Upon expressing interest in our Arlington Heights PHP/IOP services, our intake coordinators will conduct a thorough evaluation lasting between 60 to 90 minutes. Following this assessment, you will receive a comprehensive evaluation report detailing expert recommendations on the most suitable treatment approach for you.
As treatment progresses, programs can be modified from PHP to IOP or vice versa to ensure the best fit for your evolving needs.

Clarity Clinic Arlington Heights stands out as an ideal destination for completing PHP and IOP programs for several reasons:

The difference between a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and an Intensive Outpatient Program (PHP) is that PHP provides a more intensive treatment and level of care than an IOP, typically requiring individuals to take a break from work or school. In contrast, IOP is less intensive, allowing individuals to maintain their daily routines while attending group sessions for a few hours several times per week.
With a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), participants attend group treatment sessions for four hours a day, five days a week, allowing participants to return home or to a supportive environment outside of treatment hours. In addition to the 20-hours a week of group work that this program requires, PHP will also require participants to set aside additional time for individual therapy, treatment planning sessions, family/support persons therapy as recommended, and psychiatric monitoring.
Clarity Clinic's Intensive Outpatient Program (PHP) involves participants attending group treatment sessions for three hours a day, three to five days a week depending on the participant's assessed needs. This allows participants to return home or to a supportive environment outside of treatment hours. In addition to the structured 9-15 hours a week of group work that this program requires, IOP will also require participants to set aside additional time for individual therapy and optional medication management.
Both PHP and IOP programs aim to stabilize individuals in need of additional mental health support by providing comprehensive psychiatric and therapeutic care, teaching coping skills and recurrence management strategies, and supporting individuals in their wellness journey. These programs offer an alternative to inpatient hospitalization and serve as either a step-up for individuals who require additional support but do not necessitate the intensity of an acute care setting, or as a step-down from an acute care setting, allowing individuals to receive the support they need while maintaining connections to their communities and support networks.
