After countless conversations with strangers, family, friends, and acquaintances, I noticed a common thread: people are yearning to be heard. Even more deeply, people want their existence to be valued. Whether we are navigating the loneliness epidemic, structural oppression, climate anxiety, humanitarian crises, or personal trauma, we all need support in carrying life’s challenges while learning to embrace its joys. As your therapist, I aim not only to walk alongside you through difficult times, but also to empower you to reconnect with your sense of agency, heal, and build a life aligned with your values.
During my training, I worked within the Disability Resources and Educational Services Center, where I supported graduate and undergraduate students with diagnosed disabilities. This experience allowed me to work with racially and ethnically diverse clients as well as neurodivergent individuals, deepening my commitment to serving a wide range of populations. I continued this work with diverse adults and late adolescents, including BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals, facing concerns such as life transitions, anxiety, depression, self-image challenges, interpersonal difficulties, and both single-incident and complex relational trauma. Working with a broad range of identities and experiences strengthened my cultural humility and expanded my understanding of how personal and societal contexts shape each individual’s concerns.
Because every person’s life experience is unique, I strive to make therapy collaborative and tailored to your specific needs. I enjoy working with adults, particularly those from marginalized backgrounds and identities, including BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and polyamorous individuals. I am especially passionate about trauma-informed and structurally informed care, helping clients identify patterns and responses that may have developed through adverse experiences. Together, we can explore these responses with curiosity and compassion while taking meaningful steps toward thriving, not just surviving.
I also enjoy working with neurodivergent individuals, particularly women who have historically been underdiagnosed. My goal is to help you better understand yourself and find your footing within a culture that may not always accommodate your needs. I hope to create a space where you can process experiences without judgment and explore what personal freedom means to you. I believe the therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change. By creating a safe, collaborative environment where you feel understood and supported, we can identify goals for your life and therapy, process difficult experiences, recognize what is within your control, and align your actions with your values. At times, trauma—especially from childhood—can leave parts of us feeling stuck in the past, disconnected from our desires and inner experiences. In these moments, it can be helpful to approach your younger self with compassion, explore unmet needs, and develop the emotional tools needed to care for yourself in the present. By building self-awareness, strengthening emotional processing skills, and fostering deeper meaning-making, we can create a foundation that supports a fulfilling and values-driven life.
