I believe that therapeutic interventions have the power to heal, and empower clients to begin their journey towards a fulfilling life. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. I then received my Master of Social Work with a concentration in Interpersonal Practice in Integrated Health, Mental Health and Substance Abuse at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.
I have solidified a passion for patient-centered care through my work as an outpatient care coordinator for individuals living with substance use disorder, in my home state of Michigan. During my MSW experience, I gained valuable skills at a residential mental health facility, including group facilitation, intake processing, treatment planning, and community outreach.
Throughout my career and training, I’ve utilized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused brief therapies, and Motivational Interviewing (MI) in order to assess and reach patient goals. I work with patients using a collaborative approach, and I believe in providing space for a patient to share their lived experience.
My professional intention is to facilitate well-informed dialogue that I can use as a clinician to guide patients towards programs and practices that fit their best interest.
