You deserve care that honors your whole identity- mind, body, and spirit. When you come to therapy, you enter the room with a life’s worth of wisdom, skills, and gifts. You’ve made it this far, and that’s something to be proud of. At the same time, sometimes the survival skills we rely on most end up taking us further away from the life we truly want. My role is to support you as you connect more deeply with yourself and what you truly want, and help you nourish the internal and external resources you need to move through life’s challenges with self-compassion and integrity.
I work with adult clients who want to build a foundation of compassion, honesty, and safety in their relationships with themselves and others. The therapy room is a nonjudgmental space to explore and challenge behaviors that take you further from your values- substance use, disordered eating, self-harm, perfectionism, isolation. Together, we can approach pain with care and curiosity so that all parts of your being can feel heard and nourished.
I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). My work is additionally informed by self-compassion practice, Health At Every Size, and social justice frameworks. I believe in the power of creative expression to facilitate healing, and love to work with clients to integrate their creative and spiritual practices into the therapeutic process.
I am a licensed social worker in Illinois, and completed my BSW and MSW degrees at Loyola University Chicago, with specialized academic focus on gender studies and substance use recovery. Prior to joining Clarity Clinic, I have primarily worked in treatment center settings, supporting clients through acute struggles with mood, anxiety, and trauma. In these settings, I have also worked closely with various behavioral manifestations of emotional pain- substance use disorders, self-harm, disordered eating, and codependency.
Together, we can address both the behaviors you may be struggling with and the bio-psycho-social-spiritual needs underneath. Whether you’ve been in therapy for years or are just getting started, support is available to help you build the life you want.
