My journey towards mental health advocacy began with a deep-rooted dream of working in psychiatry, fueled by my exposure to the stigmas surrounding mental health during my time in the military. Since then, I have actively pursued continuous education, staying abreast of cutting-edge developments to provide my patients with the highest level of care and support they deserve.
My educational path includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from Missouri State University in 2016, followed by a Master of Science in Human Anatomy at Des Moines University, College of Medicine in 2019. To further deepen my expertise in medicine and behavioral health, I completed my Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Des Moines University, College of Health Sciences in 2023. My areas of focus encompass depression, anxiety, and PTSD, with a passion for addressing the mental health needs of members of our community.
At the core of my practice are the tenets of respect for self and others, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. I hold a strong belief in providing a safe, respectful, and judgment-free environment for all my patients. I believe in treating the whole person, recognizing the intricate interplay between physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
