I knew early on that I wanted to be in a helping position, but was uncertain of what that meant for me. My educational path led me to apply for my Master’s Degree in Social Work, where I found my passion for mental health. I am a Licensed Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from University of St. Francis. Before this, I received a BA in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Lewis University.
After graduate school, I spent time working in substance abuse treatment providing group and individual therapy to adults and their families. I eventually began working with adolescents in school settings focusing on school refusal, school-related behaviors, and mental health.
I specialize in a strength-based approach, believing that therapy is a partnership. My goal is to provide a safe space to begin positive change. I’m trained in the use of CBT and ACT. My specialities include adult and adolescent anxiety, substance abuse, depression, self-esteem, mindfulness, and grief/bereavement. When I am not at work, I enjoy music, reading, and spending time with my family.
