Bellah Kiteki, LPC

Helping others has been a theme in my life from as far back as I can remember; my fondest memories are being a high school teacher and doubling as counselor for my students. In the years since then, I have earned a doctoral degree in counselor education and supervision and a master’s in clinical mental health counseling. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Illinois and Ohio and a nationally certified Counselor.

I work with an array of clients: adolescents, those in early adulthood, and those in late adulthood from a diverse clientele population represented by gender, religion, country of origin, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status. I strive to honor and treat the uniqueness of each client in their pursuit of better social and emotional health. I draw from different evidence-based theoretical counseling approaches such as cognitive behavioral (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). I am also aware of the need to be flexible and take an eclectic approach to fit the needs of my clients. My goal in counseling is to help you tap into your strengths and resources to make meaningful progress.
