I believe that at the core of human experience is a desire for connection, understanding, and acceptance. As a person-centered therapist, I strive to provide a safe space for that authentic and vulnerable experience through curiosity, compassion, and collaboration.
I work with clients to explore and learn to utilize emotions, reasoning, and regulation skills to strengthen their autonomy, capacity for distress, problem-solving skills, and ability to create healing relationships. I draw from Experiential Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and Trauma-Informed Approaches which aid in meeting my clients where they are in the moment and processing deeper emotional patterns.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have years of experience in private practice which has given me the privilege to slow down with my clients and learn more about them and what is successful for them. I am passionate in learning about all the complex aspects of my clients — their suffering, their joy, and their resiliency that all comes from their unique background.
As a member of many marginalized communities, I place deep importance in learning how societal systems affect how we move in this world and the toll they take on our daily life. I truly hope to learn more about you!
