Bio

I offer a humble and humanistic connection as you move toward inner peace. My scientific background compliments my holistic philosophy and approach to mental healthcare. I specialize in brief psychotherapy and medication management.

I completed my undergraduate education at the University of Chicago, where I studied psychology and biology. My dedication to lifelong learning has roots in the school’s emphasis on the “Life of the Mind.” During my time at the school’s Social Neuroscience Laboratory, where the impact of loneliness on physical well-being was heavily researched, I began to appreciate the connection between our social networks and our health. I worked as a mental health counselor for children and teenagers at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in the Wicker Park neighborhood before entering medical school.

I have studied the principles of mind-body unity, our body’s ability of self-healing, and the interrelatedness of structure and function within the body. I returned to Chicago for my residency at Lutheran General Hospital, where I was named Chief Resident in his final year of training. Under the guidance and influence of many well-respected mentors, I developed my personal approach to mental health treatment. I have worked with a broad range of conditions seen in adults and adolescents. My treatment plans are custom fit for you as an individual, taking into account your goals and values.
