There are times in our lives when we experience significant events that affect us in ways we may not even be aware of. When we do not give ourselves the opportunity to process our thoughts and feelings, this can lead to noticeable changes in our everyday thinking and functioning. I believe it is important to take a step back and understand the challenges that we as humans often face. Therapy provides a safe space where the client can feel at ease sharing these experiences. I believe change happens and people can thrive when they are provided with the support they need.

Through therapy, I work to help individuals and families to identify their strengths and overcome obstacles. I utilize a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Informed, Solution-Focused, and Play Therapy. I understand that each individual seeks different care through therapy and I am able to tailor my approach to best meet the client where they are at and work with them at their own pace.

As a therapist, I enjoy building rapport with clients and providing empathy for them to feel comfortable. I have a passion for neurodiversity and believe strongly in human dignity. I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Loyola University Chicago with a focus on working with children and families. I am a Bilingual (Spanish), Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with a wide range of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in inpatient/outpatient and school settings. Additionally, I have worked with individuals with disabilities and treated individuals struggling with ADHD, Anxiety, Anger Management, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Depression, Trauma, Grief, and Loss. It is an honor for me to walk alongside the client as we undergo the therapeutic process together.
