Bio

Navigating challenges and obstacles of life can often leave us feeling stuck or isolated. I believe the beauty and power of therapy are learning to be vulnerable and able to access a world within ourselves we never knew existed. The passion of this work for me is being able to journey with my clients through this process.

My role as a therapist is as a guide to unlocking potential and exercising strengths that already exist within you. My goal is to provide tools to access the inner self. I focus on establishing a therapeutic alliance by creating a safe space for growth and healing. Being able to witness my client’s ability to become self-aware and to recognize their resiliency is something that makes this work meaningful to me.

I utilize a holistic approach focusing particularly on acceptance, gratitude, and mindfulness in an effort to regain meaning and purpose. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic, and motivational interviewing. I believe strongly in creating an environment that is conducive to the growth of each unique individual and experience.

I received a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Concordia University Chicago. I come from a very diverse background in mental health services. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings. My specialties include depression, trauma, relationship issues, substance use, anxiety, and life transitions.
