Bio

Navigating challenges and obstacles of life can often leave us feeling stuck or isolated. I believe the beauty and power of therapy is learning to be vulnerable and able to access a world within ourselves we never knew existed. The passion of this work for me is being able to journey with my clients through this process.

My role as a therapist is as a guide to unlocking potential and exercising strengths that already exist within you. My goal is to provide tools to access the inner self. I focus on establishing a therapeutic alliance by creating a safe space for growth and healing. Being able to witness my client’s ability to become self-aware and to recognize their resiliency is something that makes this work meaningful to me. I utilize a holistic approach focusing particularly on acceptance, gratitude, and mindfulness in an effort to regain meaning and purpose. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma focused therapy, psychodynamic and motivational interviewing.I believe strongly in creating an environment that is conducive to the growth of each unique individual and experience.

I received a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Concordia University Chicago. I come from a very diverse background in mental health services. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings. My specialties include depression, trauma, relationship issues, substance use, anxiety, and life transitions.
