Encouraging people to identify their strengths and use these strengths is a passion of mine. You are the expert on your story, I am here to help you narrate that story and create the next chapter with strength and resiliency. Through the use of talk therapy and gentle guidance, we can tackle issues together so you can live your best life.
It is important to recognize that we all face challenges. Although difficult, challenges can also become an opportunity to discover our inner strengths, learn, grow and become the truest version of ourselves. When we unveil our personal strengths and begin our path to self-discovery, we can manage emotions, handle life stressors and deal with future obstacles. By focusing on individual strengths and the client as a person, I am able to meet you where you are at to provide motivational counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, and client-focused talk therapy. I have worked with a wide variety of individuals from different backgrounds, cultures, religions, and all walks of life. I have also spent a large amount of time traveling the world and learning many different versions of therapy; including homeopathic, ayurvedic, mindfulness, and psychodynamic. I enjoy bringing my experiences into my practice and will often encourage clients to utilize mindfulness techniques such as meditation and diaphragmatic breathing.
I am trained in yoga for mental health and have completed many hours of meditation training in Thailand. I am also trained in cognitive behavioral therapy and continue to educate myself on various therapeutic techniques. I earned my master’s of social work from the University of New England with a focus on clinical social work. I also obtained a degree in psychology with a minor in addictions studies. I specialize in working with individuals who might be struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, self-esteem, daily stress, and many other issues. I have worked with children as young as four years old and elderly individuals up to ninety years old. I enjoy implementing techniques of problem-solving, strength building, mindfulness, and coping skills for an overall better quality of life for every client. Let’s tackle life together, one step – and one breath at a time. I look forward to working with you and providing you with support, guidance, and therapy.
