It is commonplace to have a primary care physician, dentist, and maybe even a dermatologist. Why isn’t it customary to have a therapist considering mental health is just as important? I believe everyone could benefit from seeing a therapist and I would love to be that member of your healthcare team!
I believe that we are all unique individuals with varying experiences and it’s those experiences that have led us to where we are today. Whether you have conflict surrounding addiction, relationship problems, or trauma (to name a few), I can assist you with breaking down barriers that may be in the way of achieving happiness and strong mental health. I hope that you find my expertise and warm personality reassuring as we work collaboratively to reach your treatment goals.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) with experience working in many different populations. I received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Bradley University and a master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have spent many years working in the criminal justice field completing DUI Evaluations and conducting family therapy with juveniles on probation. I also have experience working in community mental health and private practice settings where I conducted individual, group, and couples counseling using an eclectic theoretical framework of cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and psychodynamic theory.
