My mission is to provide support to people experiencing stressful or traumatic situations in their lives. As a person of color living on Chicago’s south side, I can relate to the need for mental health services in communities across the city and the nation because I’ve experienced them firsthand.
I recognize that the journey to self-help and self-love takes courage, and I am ready to assist you in reaching your mental health goals. I believe it is critical to comprehend the alterations and difficulties that adolescents and young adults encounter each day.
My specialties include Adjustment Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Mindfulness, Life Coaching, PTSD, and Stress Management. My approach involves getting a deeper understanding of these shifts and problems by actively listening to my client’s unique perspectives. This approach allows me to assist my clients in developing their self-assurance, self-awareness, perspective, and growth. My previous clients, particularly teenagers and young people between the ages of 13 and 20, have benefited from this strategy.
I’ve worked with clients from various racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds, and value their unique perspectives. I promise to provide a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment to anyone who wants to work together.
As a Youth Care worker, I spent several years in the social work sector working for a residential group home for youth in the Chicagoland area. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a master’s in social work at that time, with a focus on mental health. I completed my fieldwork for my master’s degree at the I Can Dream Center, a special education facility in the Southern suburbs, and at Gads Hill, a nonprofit that provides clinical counseling to Chicago Public Schools.
I have specialized in adjustment disorders, trauma, mindfulness therapy, stress management, crisis management, and life coaching over the course of many years of research and practice.
I look forward to working with you on your path to mental health and wellness.
