Adversity is a universal human experience. Often, individuals are faced with painful struggles including trauma, depression, loss, anxiety, or feeling alone. It is important to validate the emotional struggles individuals face, as it may feel frightening or overwhelming to first seek help. With that in mind, I aspire to highlight the power of human connection and allow clients to feel seen and heard in their experiences.
I provide a non-judgmental and encouraging setting for each client to feel safe and understood. When working with clients, a primary goal of mine is to allow the individual to process their emotions and experiences in a supportive environment. Together, we can work towards growth and change by exploring inner strengths. Through connection and collaboration, we can work towards healing and overcoming adversity.
I tailor my approach to the needs of the client by utilizing a mixture of evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and a strengths-based perspective. I have a background in the treatment of both adolescents and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and LGBTQ+ issues. If you are ready to take the first step toward personal growth, I am ready to walk through that journey with you.
