Bio

I believe that everyone has strengths to face their problems, however, when struggling with them you might get stuck and not be able to recognize/utilize those strengths effectively. Working in different settings and populations over several years has made me learn that when you establish an unconditional and understanding relationship with another human being, you get the best of yourself and the other one, even under the most difficult situations.

My approach focuses on building a therapeutic relationship that can help my clients recognize and work on their strengths and resources, and thus grow and address their problems/difficulties. My clinical background comes from the solution-focused, CBT, narrative, and humanistic theories and my therapeutic model is eclectic (to best fit your needs).

I work with adults and young adults and have experience with Major Depressive Disorder, General Anxiety Disorder, Substance Abuse Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, and PTSD. My counseling services tackle daily life problems such as self-esteem, grief, and loss, life transitions, acculturation stress, among others.
